Helisoma trivolvis
Pulmonate mollusc whose relatively simple nervous system contains large identifiable cells and is consequently, like Hirudo and Aplysia, a favourite preparation for studying neural mechanisms at the cellular level; and in particular for studying isolated neurons in culture.
